Devotees travel on two primary routes which are partly motorable and partly foot-monitor near into the holy cave: the shorter but steeper thirteen km northern route from Baltal Basecamp, and also the longer but less complicated and busier forty three km Pahalgam-Chandanwari basecamp route.
